What is EBEWE?
The Existing Building Energy & Water Efficiency Program (EBEWE for short) is a new regulation in Los Angeles that mandates all buildings larger than 20,000 square feet complete both an annual energy benchmark and an audit and retro-commissioning process every 5 years.
While benchmarking requirements have been suspended due to COVID-19, Optimal Building is developing a process (vAudit 1.0) to enable building owners and operators to perform this benchmarking and begin recording the process.
Audits & Retro-Commissioning
Audits and Retro-Commissioning require a licensed engineer or architect. An ASHRAE Level 1 "Walkthrough Analysis" satisfies this requirement.
