Meet Carlos Santamaria
Carlos Santamaria is the Founder and Principal of Optimal Building. As the former Vice President of Engineering Services for Glenborough, LLC for eleven years, he strategically positioned the company as a leader in energy management and sustainability.
Mr. Santamaria has worked in commercial real estate for over 25 years focusing on energy efficiency, building operations, building upgrades, high performance buildings, construction and operational best practices. For over 20 years, Carlos has worked on some of the most successful "Deep Energy Retrofits" in the United States and abroad.
Graduated from University of San Francisco - Executive MBA Degree, BA Degree in Business Mgt. at Saint Mary’s College, Completed the Harvard Business School Executive Education - Emerging Leaders Program, 2008. Earned the USGBC – LEED Accredited Professional Designation, LEED AP, the California Real Estate Broker’s License #00878207 and the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) RPA Designation.
